(a,b)The children in the Tree House have access to all materials. Paper, writing utensils, and toys are labeled and organized on child friendly shelving. Materials such as books, puzzles, art and science materials, and items for dramatic play are rotated to reflect our current investigation.

(a)Block and dramatic play toys are shelved low to the ground so the children can access them independently.
(a)The writing center is child height, and materials are labeled and organized for easy access for the children.
(a)The manipulatives are organized in bins, labeled and at the appropriate height for the children.
(a)The book shelf has low open shelves for the children to access the books.




(b)For example, our science table was reorganized to facilitate the exploration of snow, ice, and winter animals for our new Winter Investigation.








(b)During our Food Investigation the dramatic play area was stocked full of different kinds of food, as well as menus, pads, and pencils for restaurant play.
